Ukraine's attack on Russia's Kursk poses a risk to nuclear power plants, says atomic energy agency

On August 10, Jinshi Data, the International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Grosi issued a statement on Friday expressing concern over the threat to the local nuclear power plant caused by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the Kursk region. In recent days, Ukraine has launched a large-scale cross-border attack on the Kursk region of Russia. The operation began on August 6th, with Ukraine sending about 1,000 soldiers equipped with tanks and armored vehicles, penetrating about 10 kilometers into Russian territory, and capturing several towns in Kursk. This attack has put pressure on Russia militarily, and the fighting is still ongoing, with the situation still uncertain.
