No casualties among trapped miners in South African gold mine; 79 have been safely lifted to the surface.

Jin10 data reported on May 23, local time, that the West Rand-Stilfontein Company in South Africa confirmed that among the 260 miners trapped after an underground accident at the Kruif gold mine, there have been no casualties so far, and 79 people have safely ascended to the surface. It is reported that the remaining 181 people are still stranded at a safe gathering point underground, and the company is continuously providing food and will arrange for their ascent after confirming the safety of the lifting system. The cause of the accident was a failure of the mine's lifting device.
