After a long counting process, the Liberal Party ultimately won 169 seats, the Conservative Party won 144 seats, the Bloc Québécois won 22 seats, the New Democratic Party won 7 seats, and the Green Party won 1 seat. In the early hours of April 29, Mark Carney, the current Prime Minister who led the Liberal Party to victory in the 45th Canadian Federal Election, delivered a speech announcing the election victory.
