Whale Bitcoin OG transferred 10,000 BTC to Galaxy Digital, may soon sell off large.
More than 10,000 BTC ( worth 1.18 billion USD ) have been transferred from Galaxy Digital to the exchange in just 8 hours, likely related to an OG Bitcoin whale who owns 80,009 BTC — a wallet that has been "dormant" for 14 years.
This wallet will resume operations on July 4, 2025, with a total of BTC currently valued at 9.68 billion USD — an increase of 15.4 million % compared to the price in 2011. Experts believe this could be a strategic liquidity event through the OTC service of Galaxy Digital. Research from the Crypto Valley Journal has also indicated that large BTC transactions often exert short-term downward price pressure.
