How Bitcoin price will change - Standard Chartered forecast
One of the largest banks in the world, Standard Chartered, has shared its own vision of how the price of Bitcoin will change over the next three years.
Jeffrey Kendrick, Head of Digital Assets at Standard Chartered, predicts that the world's leading coin could reach a maximum of $500,000 in the next three years. This bullish view of BTC's future is due to many factors, including Trump's crypto-friendly policy.
Please note that at the time of writing, Bitcoin is experiencing strong volatility, with its price fluctuating between $96,000 and $100,000.
In his forecast, Kendrick explained that Trump has created a working group on digital assets, which will explore the development of a relaxed federal regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and assess the creation of a national digital asset reserve. The removal of accounting restrictions for cryptocurrency-owning companies also added fuel to the fire.
At the institutional level, the launch of bitcoin exchange-traded funds unlocked pent-up demand, attracting $39 billion in investments so far.
According to Kendrick's forecast, the price of Bitcoin will reach $200,000 by the end of 2025, $300,000 in 2026, $400,000 in 2027, and will reach $500,000 by 2028, after which, in his opinion, it will stabilize by 2029.
Reduced volatility, as expected by the expert, will be a stimulus for increasing interest in the crypto market, increasing the attractiveness of BTC as part of a portfolio of two assets together with gold, the market capitalization of which currently stands at $19.3 trillion.
