Blockchain technology has gone through several development stages over the past decade, from public chain competition to the rise of Decentralized Finance, NFT, and Meme coins. However, the area that can truly integrate deeply with the global TradFi market and unleash tremendous potential is RWA (Real World Assets).
According to a forecast by the Boston Consulting Group, by 2030, the global market for tokenizable real-world assets is expected to exceed $16 trillion, involving multiple categories such as real estate, bonds, carbon credits, gold, and stocks. It is estimated that by 2027, approximately $10 trillion of assets will be digitized and put on-chain, with at least $1 trillion being directly injected into the DeFi ecosystem, becoming the core driving force for the development of blockchain finance.
The rise of RWA is mainly due to three factors: first, the growing demand in the traditional finance sector for more efficient and lower-cost financing and trading methods; second, the continuous maturation of blockchain technology, including the compliance process, the widespread application of stablecoins, and the enhancement of cross-chain interoperability; and finally, an increasing number of countries around the world are beginning to establish legal frameworks and regulatory guidelines for tokenized assets, with the policy environment becoming clearer.
However, the large-scale implementation of RWA is not simply about transferring assets to the Blockchain; it requires simultaneously meeting three key conditions: compliance, security, and liquidity. In this context, building a complete RWA infrastructure has become a top priority for the industry's development.
In the upcoming trillion-dollar asset blockchain wave, projects focused on building one-stop infrastructure for RWA will play a crucial role. These projects not only need to provide technical support but also address a series of complex issues such as legal compliance, asset valuation, and risk management. By establishing a sound RWA ecosystem, Blockchain technology is expected to truly achieve a deep integration with TradFi, bringing revolutionary changes to the global financial market.
