Viewpoint: Trump tests the new limits of presidential power through memes
Recently, Trump tested the new limits of presidential power by launching a memecoin "TRUMP", which catapulted him to a cryptocurrency billionaire two days before his inauguration. Cryptocurrency insiders are concerned that TRUMP, along with the hasty launch of MELANIA memecoin, could undermine the credibility that the eyewash-plagued industry has worked so hard to build over the years. It's worth noting that Trump used to be skeptical about Cryptocurrency, which didn't change until the 2024 election campaign. What most Americans don't realize is that there are essentially no limits to the U.S. president using his power to profit through new ventures or business deals. Because of the Supreme Court's rules, presidents also enjoy immunity from "official acts" if they are accused of transgressing any legal boundaries. In just eight hours of his inauguration, Trump extended the president's enormous public and private powers to a level that was once unimaginable, and while the president could always pardon, concede, or protect Fren, family, and allies, no one had ever done so broadly, so blatantly, so quickly, and the public didn't think so.
