OpenAI hires former Uber executive Scott Skuse as Chief Compliance Officer

Golden Finance reported that OpenAI has hired former Uber executive Scott Schools as its first Chief Compliance Officer to support the startup's efforts to adapt to emerging global regulations around artificial intelligence. Schools' most recent position was Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Uber, and he also served as Deputy Associate Attorney General at the US Department of Justice. This recruitment comes as regulators on both sides of the Atlantic are balancing policies around OpenAI and other companies' most advanced artificial intelligence models.
