Justin Sun Heads to Space: Youngest Chinese Astronaut and First Crypto Entrepreneur in Orbit

Geneva, Switzerland – July 22, 2025 – TRON founder and crypto pioneer Justin Sun is preparing for a historic space mission that will make him the youngest Chinese commercial astronaut and the first crypto entrepreneur from Forbes’ list to venture into orbit. He will board Blue Origin’s New Shepard for its 14th crewed flight and the 34th launch overall. The exact launch date is yet to be announced, but a live stream will begin 30 minutes before liftoff on launch day.

Back in 2021, Sun won a bid for a seat on New Shepard, paying $28 million. The entire amount was donated to Blue Origin’s Club for the Future, which selected 19 nonprofit organizations focused on space education. Each received a $1 million grant aimed at inspiring future generations to pursue careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), benefiting life on Earth and enabling innovation in space.
